Super Bowl XXII Champions Washington Redskins met with President Ronald Reagan at the White House February 3, 1988.
President Reagan first met with coach Joe Gibbs, Doug Williams and General manager Bobby Beathard in Oval Office.
They then proceeded to the White House South lawn where they met with the rest of the Redskins and the Redskins Fans. Afterwards President Reagan threw football to wide receiver Ricky Sanders who caught it and did a celebratory dance.
Notice that QB Doug Williams was on crutches from injuries he sustained in the game,
By the way, Redskins trounced Denver Broncos 42-10. The Redskins set 14 Super Bowl records.
